Being physically active and in shape has
always been a part of my life. Building and maintaining a beautifully
shaped and well-toned body requires dedication to a regimen of
cardiovascular exercise and weight training; along with compliance to a
healthy diet. I began to find my workouts not only become boring and
mundane, but I found myself having to work harder in order to achieve
the same goals. It was becoming tougher to stay in shape and I wasn't
progressing in my training. For the first time, I decided to seek out a
personal trainer. Given I had always trained myself with good results my
criteria for a trainer was strict and the shoes looked like they were
going to be very difficult to fill! I was very surprised and pleased
when I found Jason.

In a panic over an upcoming trip to
Cancun I started training with Jason. Now, 7 weeks later, I am amazed at
how quickly the weight, and more importantly, the inches have come off.
Jason knows how to focus on those "problem areas" as well as getting the
whole body balanced and toned. I have trouble with my knees and
lower back and Jason was always sure to modify exercises and be mindful
of not aggravating old injuries. I feel fit, strong and finally
comfortable in my own body. My only complaint is now I have to buy a
whole new wardrobe!
Jason changed the
way I think about my body and about fitness. I did not realize that I
could get into such great shape. I was living a very corporate and
sedentary lifestyle and I had ballooned to 200 pounds and I felt
horrible. I spent 8 weeks working with Jason and it made a huge impact
on the way I look and the way I feel.
I tried another more "nationally
recognized" program to lose fat and gain muscle before enlisting your
help, and that program was a true waste of time compared to the
results I got from yours. You designed a program tailored
specifically to my needs, not a cookie cutter one many trainers
provide. Not everyone is the same, nor do they respond the same
way, and you understand this. You stayed intuned to how my body
was reacting to the program you designed and made adjustments when
needed, as you did on 4 separate occasions during the course of my 8
weeks of training. The numbers really say it all as I lost 9
lbs., my waist went from 35" to 32", and my BF went from 15% to 4.9%.
Furthermore, my interaction with you has given me the necessary
knowledge that will enable me to continue living a healthy lifestyle.
I would recommend you to anyone without hesitation, although you
should provide a disclaimer stating that anyone who follows your
program will have to buy new clothes because the current ones will no
longer fit.

Jason also makes very sure that I know EXACTLY how the exercise is done properly, so I can do it right and get the maximum benefit from each rep. I've never had next-day aching or soreness in training with Jason, even though the workouts are tough enough to make me sweat a TON each session! Jason gave me the exercises I need to make my body look the way I want it to look, and very quickly. I went from a size 11 to a size 5 in about 4 months, with a loss of 20 pounds of fat (including getting rid of some really ugly "saddlebags" on my thighs) and a gain of a lot of hot-looking muscle! Then, a year later, when I had had a little too much food fun in the form of holiday eating, Jason got me back to those size 5s in just over one month -- WOW! Jason
evaluated my goals and and sent me a very easy to follow diet and
exercise plan. He gave me a list of good, acceptable foods and let me
know what I needed to eat when. The best part was how easy it was to
follow. I didn't have to worry about counting calories or grams of
protein or anything like that. Every week I turned in my diary and
Jason let me know what I needed to change. It's a lot harder to cheat
on your diet when you know you're going to be caught.

Jason is a champion trainer! It is ALL thanks to Jason Kozma, Mr America, that I was able to take on the challenge of even entering the 2008 Venice Beach Figure Contest. He was capable of helping me develop the necessary mental strength and physical strength needed to enter and win a contest like this. I could never have guessed I would ever have done something like this but with Jason as a coach and manager, I was pushed to my right superior strength and won!! When I first started working out with Jason he helped me recover from the oversized body I had created during an extremely enjoyable trip to Italy. Following his instructions (diet especially), I quickly dropped weight from the trip (6 pounds the first week!) . But I soon learned that I had also returned from Italy with another souvenir- I was pregnant! I continued to work out with Jason during the first 6 months of my pregnancy, which helped me get stronger for labor (which I did naturally) and also retain some sense of myself while I endured the astonishing enlargement of my body. At six weeks post partum, I returned to work out with Jason, weighing at this time about 15 pounds over my best shape body weight, and my body was very mushy. In the months that followed Jason helped me be on a healthy, breast-feeding friendly diet, that enabled me to take off the weight and get in shape. The work outs themselves built my strength which I appreciated much more as I had to carry around a baby and do a lot of stuff while holding her with one arm. I found Jason while surfing the web and decided to book an appointment. Jason was very careful to work around and with my limitations (foot). I was very impressed with his conscientiousness towards my safety. Over the next 6 weeks he kept me motivated and his discipline regarding diet actually rubbed off. Well, I'd be the first to admit a 13 pound gain in just a month looks 'suspicious', but all it took was consistently training with you and following exactly the nutrition program you put me on. No drugs, just my willingness to follow what you tell me to do. And to tell you the truth, I've actually ripped out of three shirts so far. Nothing worked. I tried Atkins, but that made me feel like I was doing chemo again – I slowed way down during aerobic workouts. I just didn’t have any energy. Then I discovered Jason Kozma’s web pages and decided to sign up for his online personal training. Right away he developed a personalized diet and workout routine for me. He increased the number of my aerobic workout sessions slightly and added several weight training sessions per week. I particularly liked his diet. I ate often and I ate foods that I liked and were good for me. I had lots of energy. My bike and swim times actually improved on the diet. Recently I celebrated my 52nd birthday and I am also about to celebrate the fifth anniversary of completing chemotherapy. My weight is within 2 pounds of my “pre-chemo” weight! Turning 40 ain't easy! But thanks to you Jason, my body is feeling healthier and stronger than anytime in the last decade, and of course that positively affects my attitude and outlook also. My previously serious low back condition is entirely gone. I have had no back pain since we started training together. I didn't believe that training would help my back, but in fact not only do I have no pain, but I have surprised myself as to my back strength. A few weeks ago, I was driving my Volvo and ran out of gas. It was night time and I was barefoot. I had to get my car out of the way of traffic. So instinctively, I jumped out of the car and started pushing. Well, I had to push it uphill, to the side of the street, to avoid traffic, in bare feet no less (with no traction). Most trainers train a client the way they train themselves, regardless of that clients specific needs. Jason sat with me before our sessions began to discuss my particular and individual goals. With these goals in mind, he set up a personal, tailored program to achieve maximum benefits for my body type. I was starting to train for my 5th
attempt on Mt. Rainier, and realized that, in order to succeed, I needed
to improve my training method; so I decided to get help.
I have always looked like I was in good shape, But as the years caught up with me and my middle started to expand I thought that I should get a trainer and start working on my eating habits. I spoke to several trainers and was not impressed at all. I found Jason on the internet and gave him a call. He explained the diet and workout routine that I would need for what I was looking for. congratulations to you on your win at the Mr. America! I have not
spoken to you since Heather Lake & her husband referred me.... I have
stuck to your plan and have lost a total of 22 pounds and working out at
Gold's here in Nashville. I am 5'7" (almost 5'8" and weight 139) and in
a size 5-6 (down from a size 12 & 162 lbs). I have reached my goal!! My
clothes fit great and I continue to keep toning.

Jason : My energy level was very good throughout the week. My workout recovery continues to improve dramatically every week. My cholesterol was 189 4 months ago. It is now 146. My blood pressure was 122/84 four month ago. It is now 112/64. My resting heart rate was 75 4 months ago. It is now 51. I'm getting closer to seeing my AB muscles. My waistline is about 30 and will probably end up about 28 to 29 before I see what's under the fat. Beginning weight and bodyfat 192.5 /13 %:
Ending weight and bodyfat %: 184 /8.4%
I could tell you how many inches I’ve lost (2.5), or I could tell you how many pounds of fat I melted off myself (16), but there are more important things to discuss here. More than releasing me from flab, this diet practically released me from an addiction to food. I had bad eating habits as a kid, as a teenager, and later, a college student. Though they did improve a bit throughout the years they were never stellar, and I kept wondering why all my effort in the gym didn’t yield the desired results. One Jason Kozma later the answer was obvious. Once I got on this program I realized how much I craved all those pieces of pizza, all that ice cream and chips and soda and crap that I will only enjoy IN MODERATION anymore. I was surprised how much I lost and how quickly I lost it, but more than that I was surprised at how much diet determines how you look, and how far off the right kind of dieting I was doing. At first I envied my fellow students because they were eating whatever they wanted, but now (and this is the most awesome thing I’m coming away with) I look at what they’re eating and I’m not even tempted.
